International Exchanges

The Studio JLMB is actively engaged in a European network of partnerships with leading higher education institutions in the performing arts. These exchanges offer our students the opportunity to collaborate with peers and faculty from across Europe, broaden their artistic practice through exposure to diverse theatrical traditions, and begin building an international professional network from the outset of their training.

For our partners, these collaborations are an opportunity to create meaningful artistic dialogue, share pedagogical approaches, and develop lasting connections between institutions.

Current and upcoming partners: — HKU University of the Arts Utrecht (Netherlands) — Erasmus exchange in 2023 — Teaterhögskolan i Malmö, Lund University (Sweden) — exchange planned for May 2027 — additional partnerships are currently in development

International students

The Studio JLMB welcomes international students seeking to undertake a period of training within our programme. We are actively developing bilateral partnerships with European higher education institutions that share our artistic vision and pedagogical approach.

In 2023, as part of our Erasmus partnership with HKU University of the Arts Utrecht (Netherlands), we welcomed Beaudé Hendriks, a third-year student at HKU, for a three-month residency. Fully integrated into our training, he worked alongside our students and faculty, an experience that proved equally enriching for everyone involved.
